"Hi, I'm Tracie Chapman, or Nonna, as I'm know to the sweetest grandchildren. My husband, Eric and I have been married for 38 years, and I have called Ardmore "home" for as long. Since the birth of my first child, the sweetest little bookstore has been part of our lives. The history of Ardmore is very dear to my heart, and it's with great excitement - and the support of family - that we carry on the tradition of this local mainstay.
I am a mom of 3, "Nonna" to 4 and a ranchers wife. I love books; everything about them... the feel, smell and thought of what awaits me on each page. I am a member of one of the oldest book clubs in Oklahoma and love hearing others' opinions and viewpoints on the books they've read. My favorite genre is historic fiction.
I am so thankful for this adventure. It's an honor to carry on The Bookseller name, and I can't wait to see where the journey leads."
"At the heart of our bookstore is Erica, the beloved social butterfly of our family. From the moment she could hold a book, she's been captivated by stories. While other kids carried dolls, Erica carried books - and that love for reading has only grown.
She's the warm smile you'll see when you walk through our doors, the friendly voice that will happily chat about your favorite authors or help you find the perfect read.
Whether you she's recommending a children's classic or reading aloud to her niece or nephews, Erica brings joy, energy, and a deep love for books to everything she does.
Come in, say hello, and stay awhile - there's always a good story waiting for you here."
"My name is Morgan, and I'm married to my husband, Fred IV, and together we have two boys - Chap & Boone. I grew up in southwest Oklahoma, but have called the Ardmore area home for over ten years since graduating from OSU. Downtown has always been one of my favorite things about Ardmore and our family is so excited to be part of it!
When we all decided to purchase The Bookseller, I immediately knew I wanted to expand the kids' department. I've loved seeking out the best independent book and toy shops on our travels through the years - everywhere from Seaside, FL to the mountains of Colorado. I can't wait to curate the perfect offering for our sweet little town and the little ones who call it home!"
"Hey y'all - I'm Victoria Strate, I'm married to Jarred Strate and together we have two kids, Graham and Leddy. I've called Ardmore my hometown my whole entire life. I graduated from Oklahoma State University as an Agricultural Business major which has helped me find my role in my families operation.
I find true joy in finding historical aesthetics in each commercial renovation and preserving the old with the new. Nonna's Bookseller is a unique project for our family to take on, we hope to continue the traditions of an Ardmore trademark, enhancing the building's history inside and outside, while keeping what individuals have enjoyed since 1972."
